About Legacy Venue at Barden
Legacy Venue at Barden is an intimate wedding ceremony venue nestled in North Scituate, Rhode Island. In 1931, John and Hazel Barden planted the first apple trees on the land that became Barden Family Orchard. Their grandson, Gilbert Barden Jr., began working with John and was farming full-time until his unexpected death on May 25, 2023. With a deep sense of purpose to carry forward the family legacy, Gil’s daughter Stacey had a vision for the future, and Legacy Venue at Barden was born.
The White Barn & Legacy Walkway
The venue includes the original White Barn on the property, renovated and restored for indoor events, as well as a dedicated outdoor space for ceremonies called the Legacy Walkway. This walkway is made of engraved bricks that honor families, anniversaries, traditions, and memories.
Be a part of our legacy
With unwavering faith, Legacy Venue at Barden not only honors the Barden family members who worked so hard to cultivate the land, but supports couples and families on their wedding day and every year after for generations to come. We are more than a venue – we’re a special place for families to come together. We invite you to be part of the tradition.
